About the Event
The Fermanian School of Business is excited to host FSB Impact Day @ SBCS San Diego, an immersive nonprofit leadership experience inside one of the region’s most influential community organizations—South Bay Community Services (SBCS). This behind-the-scenes event is designed to give students direct exposure to real-world leadership, service, and community impact at scale.
What You’ll Experience
Students will begin with a 1-hour service project at one of SBCS’s locations, contributing directly to programs that strengthen families and communities across San Diego County. Afterward, participants will receive an exclusive tour of the new $34M Impact Center, SBCS’s state-of-the-art facility designed for expanded services, innovation spaces, and community engagement.
Leadership Lunch + Q&A
The day concludes with a private lunch and Q&A with SBCS CEO Kathie Lembo and members of the executive team. Students will hear firsthand about nonprofit leadership, organizational growth, community partnerships, and the challenges and opportunities of serving thousands of families across the region.
