Fergy LH
Fergy LH are a ticking time bomb of a band. Born in Birmingham, with Irish roots, the energetic quartet fuse far-flung garage rock with an unmistakable punk sensibility.
'Talk It Out' is a no holds barred debut which gained ‘Track of the Week’ on BBC 6 Music. The track hurtles along at speed and lands somewhere between the ragged punk of The Libertines, the psychedelia of King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, and the poetic post-punk of Fontaines DC.
Lyrically examining toxic masculinity, in hope of a better way forward, the band explain their new single as: "a song born from a fleeting moment outside of a local off-license, where hardened work hands reached for post-shift tinnies. It made us reflect on how, especially as men, we can spend entire days side by side yet our troubles are unspoken - turning instead to the quiet comfort of the drink. The song urges ourselves, and others, to talk it out'.
Severe Girls
Severe Girls is the solo moniker of North West musician Andrew Neil Richardson. Having been a prominent session drummer for various artists and the drummer with several DIY and mainstream artists such as Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth), Infinite Bisous, Aldous RH, Francis Lung, Temple Songs, The Foetals and Pale Seas to name a few, Andrew has only recently begun to craft his own brand of music. Writing and performing everything himself, Severe Girls is Andrew's own take on alternative indie/rock music with an emphasis on melody and angst.
