About this Event
Project management for research projects differs from the management of other projects. By its very nature, research projects entail intellectual risk and serendipitous results.
This workshop, structured as a conversation between researchers, seeks to help researchers to think about how to manage their projects. It invites researchers to discuss the core purpose of their research (their ‘North Star’), the rhythm of their year and each day, how much they can expect to get done, and what to do when things go wrong.
By the end of the workshop, researchers should have a better understanding of how to manage their project within the constraints of their available time, and ideas about how to deal with issues that might arise during their project.
*Please note this workshop is for Deakin University researchers only.
