Roger Kintopf, Julius Gawlik und Felix Ambach have already known each other for over a decade and have played in several formations together when they founded this band in 2020. As a trio they released their first record 'live' in 2023.
Later in 2023 the british Vibraphone player Jonny Mansfield joins the band. �
The mutual trust and the friendship of the musicians is the basis to be honest and vulnerable in the moment of playing. �
The compositions written for these musicians set a frame for them to improvise and explore within. Most part of the music is improvised. All of the four individuals can influence the direction of the music at all times. �
The unusual instrumentation with clarinet, vibraphone, double bass and drums give the band its characteristic band sound. Musical and aesthetic influences go from Ahmad Jamal, Joel Ross to boygenius and Little Simz. �
The band is winner of the „Young German Jazz Prize“ 2021, the scholarship „jazz@undesigned“ 2021 as well as the Hi-Five jazz award 2022.�
