Felicity Cloake travels the world looking for food: she’s cycled round France in search of the perfect croissant; toured the UK comparing breakfasts; and comes to Gosforth Civic Theatre, as her latest book, ‘Peach Street to Lobster Lane’, a culinary tour of America, comes out in paperback.In this evening of entertaining, evocative and revealing chat, Felicity will reflect on her culinary missions, in conversation with adventurer and author Emily Chappell. Felicity has written the Guardian’s ‘How to Make the Perfect…’ column since 2009 and is author of six acclaimed books, including ‘The A-Z of Eating: A Flavour Map for the Adventurous Cook’ (2016) One More Croissant for the Road (2019) and Red Sauce, Brown Sauce: A British Breakfast Odyssey (2022).
Cyclist Emily Chappell will join Felicity, returning to Gosforth Civic Theatre after her sell-out show about her own adventures here last year.
