About this Event
Join us this December for a weekend seminar that will help newcomers to the faith bring their whole selves into Islam. This class will lay the foundation for a healthy and robust Muslim identity by guiding attendees through a process of knowing themselves, gaining fundamental religious knowledge, and maintaining their closest ties to family and friends. Based upon the book, Project Lina: Bringing Our Whole Selves into Islam, “Feeling Muslim” is the perfect companion to our longstanding “Being Muslim” class on basic religious knowledge for new Muslims.
Our teacher, Anse Kiashe Pugh, embraced Islam in 1990. She spent 19 years studying abroad before returning to the U.S. in 2013. She serves as a Tafsir instructor at the Ribaat Academic Institute and Vice Chair of the Rabat Board. As a lifelong learner and teacher, she continues to encourage others to seek knowledge and reflect deeply, especially on the Qur’an.
This weekend seminar will be on Saturday and Sunday, December 6th and 7th, from 11 AM to 5 PM. Class is open to both men and women. Space is limited to 30 people. Sign up today to guarantee your spot!
Please note that no childcare will be available during this seminar.
