About this Event
The League of Women Voters 2024 National Convention recommended conducting a one-year study of the Federal Judiciary.
The Federal Judiciary is an essential component of the United States democracy. Unfortunately, lately the Judiciary has been in the news for questionable reasons.
Pat Forbis, a League member, will be presenting the concerns about and clarifying judicial accountability, transparency, independence and ethics. She will also explain what a LWV study is, and how we can effect any changes by participating. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the federal court system while participating in discussions about the concerns to be addressed by the study.
