Want to work collaboratively to stop toxic pollution in West Oakland? Get involved in the West Oakland Metal Shredder Collaborative!
Metal shredding is a heavy industrial process that can pose significant health risks to surrounding communities--and it's happening right here in West Oakland at Radius Recycling.
The West Oakland Metal Shredder Collaborative is a group of community members, government agencies, and senior leadership from Radius Recycling working together to address metal shredding emissions.
Through the Collaborative, you’ll be able to work directly with the agency staff responsible for curbing pollution and protecting our health. Help make sure government regulators and Radius staff keep West Oakland residents’ health and safety top of mind, and be a part of addressing decades of inequitable pollution in our neighborhood and across the state.

Meeting details:
This meeting will be held in the Fireplace Room at DeFremery Recreation Center in DeFremery Park. The Recreation Center is one mile from the West Oakland Bart station, 0.2 miles from the 36 bus, and 0.3 miles from the 14 bus.
There is street parking on 18th and Adeline (please don't park in the lot).
Can't make it in person? There will be a remote option to call in.
Unfortunately, there will not be food or childcare at this meeting.
