Welcome back to the February 2026 chapter of the Sydney Poetry Lounge, featuring poetry from Ray Liversidge, Robyn Rowland, and our incredible open mic! Join us upstairs at The Glebe Hotel for a night filled with powerful spoken word performances and heartfelt poetry.
$10 entry, $5 concession, tickets available on the door or via Humanitix.

Ray Liversidge
Ray Liversidge’s latest book is Riverside: New & Selected Work 2003-2025 published by Interactive Publications. His other books are: …of a sudden; Oradour-sur-Glane; no suspicious circumstances: portraits of poets (dead); The Barrier Range; The Divorce Papers; and Obeying the Call. He also appeared with two other poets in the first issue of Triptych Poets.
Ray’s poetry and flash fiction have appeared in over 100 journals and anthologies in Australia, the US, Canada, the UK, Scotland, Ireland and Spain. His verse novel The Barrier Range was adapted for stage and performed as Seeking Fabled Waters at the 2010 Melbourne Writers Festival. In that year his poem ‘The Lawn’ won the Bruce Dawe National Poetry Prize and was recommended in the Rosemary Dobson Prize. His poems have won and been placed in numerous other competitions. He has been a guest of and read at more than 50 literary festivals in Australia and overseas.
Robyn Rowland
Robyn Rowland has 15 books, 12 of poetry, including the bi-lingual Under This Saffron Sun – Safran Güneşin Altında, Turkish translations, Mehmet Ali Çelikel, (Ireland, 2019). Her recent book Steep Curve is out with 5Islands Press. These poems encompass her two years caring for her father, who died at 102, and her decision to leave Ireland to do so. Her poetry appears in numerous national/international journals, over fifty anthologies, and eight editions of Best Australian Poems (Black Inc.). Her readings for National Irish Poetry Reading Archive, James Joyce Library, UCD, available on YouTube.
