Come and SCUBA some Washington State history. Les Davis Marine Park is comprised of old wreckage from the first Tacoma Narrows Bridge aka “Galloping Gertie.” Much of the wreckage from this historic collapse was barged and dumped here, forming an artificial reef. The structure is expansive and starts in about 30 feet of water with a maximum depth of around 70 feet. Many critters can be found on, underneath and inside of the structure. It’s fun to explore. Make sure to bring a light.
Get signed up on the roster by calling us at the shop or better yet come in to sign up personally, say hello, and chat with us over a complimentary warm beverage.
Remember: Rental cost for our monthly SDC shop dives is reduced 50%. If rental gear is needed, make sure to take care of this and your tank fills no later than Saturday 2/24. The DM sponsoring this dive, Mike Waymire, will be working at the shop on the 24th, so if you have any questions, feel free to call 360-373-6141 him there and then.
