Participants will get to meet exhibiting photographer Viktoria Sorochinski and learn about her series Poltavaland. Ms. Hilary will lead the group in an art activity inspired by Viktoria's show.

About the photographer:
Viktoria Sorochinski is an artist-photographer with Ukrainian roots and a multicultural background. Having lived and studied in the ex-USSR, Israel, Canada and USA, where she acquired her Masters of Fine Arts from New York University, she has finally settled in Berlin, Germany. Sorochinski had over 85 solo and collective exhibitions in 25 countries throughout Europe, North and South America and Asia.
About the Exhibition On View:
Poltavaland is a long term project about a cherished creative region in Ukraine, a place with a mysterious atmosphere and unusual concentration of talented people.Viktoria Sorochinski photographed the region of Poltava, where her grandmother was born, between 2019 and 2021. The project portrays caretakers of the culture in a peaceful Ukraine and an authentic lifestyle which will most likely change forever due to the ongoing Russian invasion.Poltavaland opens FRI 2/6, with an opening reception from 5-8pm and an artist talk at 6pm.
