About this Event
February Half Term DIY Bird Feeders
Looking for a fun, hands-on activity this February half term? Join us in person at our lovely Nower House home in Dorking to craft your very own DIY bird feeders, with a resident who would be delighted to make new friends and memories! It’s a great way to get creative, enjoy the fresh air, and help our feathered friends.
Perfect for all ages, this event promises laughs, learning, and lots of messy fun. Bring your enthusiasm, and we’ll provide the rest!
Up to two feeders can be made per child and resident, to be able to each take one home, once they are up and being used at home, please do tag us on social media and update us on how your feeder is doing!
Who are we? Abbeyfield Wey Valley Society is a not-for-profit charity, providing both home and residential care. We are a registered charity which is led by a board of volunteer retired professionals and a small, friendly senior management team. We confidentally put care before profit and reinvest a small surplus into our residents' services, to ensure they are provided with excellent care, fun-filled activities and events for their wellbeing and most importantly, a place they can call home that is always kept warm and serves healthy, nutritious food.
We are heavily committed to hosting events such as this one to bring the community together, at no cost (although we welcome donations), in our new community space. We know how important it is to tackle lonliness, isolation and invest in our own mental and pyhsical wellbeing when we can.
