Making tax digital for income tax: get ready, not caught out
Join us for Mole Valley Chamber's Networking Breakfast
We are delighted to invite you to Mole Valley Chamber's monthly networking breakfast. This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with local businesses, enjoy a delicious breakfast, and gain valuable insights from our inspiring guest speaker.
Guest speaker: Neil Jackson
We are delighted to be joined by Neil Jackson from Your Finance Partner, who will be speaking about Making Tax Digital for income tax (MTD for IT) and what it really means for businesses on the ground.
From April 2026, individuals earning from self-employed income and property income will be required to submit income and expense information to HMRC on a quarterly basis using compatible software. While this represents a significant shift in how tax reporting works, it also presents an opportunity to gain better visibility and control over your finances throughout the year.
Neil will cut through the jargon and provide clear, practical guidance on who will be affected, when the changes will apply, and what steps you should be taking now to prepare. He will share insights into the software options available, common pitfalls to avoid, and how early planning can help reduce stress, errors and last-minute scrambles as the deadline approaches.
This session is ideal for business owners, landlords and anyone supporting clients through the transition to MTD. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of their obligations, greater confidence in the changes ahead, and actionable advice they can put into practice straight away โ without needing to become a tax expert overnight.
