Animal rescue can't happen without hard working volunteers! Come lend a hand at a vegan animal sanctuary! If you are interested in joining our Care Team as a regular volunteer, this Orientation will serve as a great introduction to the work, to the Sanctuary, and of course, all our rescued residents! RSVP is required.

During this Orientation, you will learn the basics of daily care provision for animals rescued from neglect, abuse, or slaughter so come prepared to work outdoors (gloves, hat, etc.) Boots/muck or rain boots that can get muddy and dirty are highly encouraged. No open toed shoes. We highly recommend bringing a reusable water bottle. Cool water & hot tea(on cold days) will be available.
Volunteers must be 12 or older and all minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
PFS has an onsite vegan policy: any snacks or food you bring for yourself needs to be plant based/vegan.
Parking is available in the front yard.
Water, gloves, dust masks, and tools will be provided, but we encourage you to bring your own work gloves if you have them.
In the event of inclement weather, the event may be cancelled in advance via the email you provide on the RSVP form.
