Advanced Temporary Traffic ControlOnline Refresher Training Class

Within a week of registering for this class, you will receive an email with the login/password for the Microsoft Teams Meeting and the link to the package of documents necessary to complete this class.

Each student must have their own laptop/desktop computer with speaker, microphone and camera. These must be on the entire time of class and test.

The Advanced Temporary Traffic Control Class concludes with a 60-question examinatino. Students who atttended the entire class and successfully completed the examination with a 70% score or higher will receive an FDOT Certificate and Wallet Card in PDF from the Florida Department of Transportation.

You will be provided with instructions, resources, links, logins and passwords necessary to access the MS TEAMS presentation (please review the requirements below). You will received these materials at the email your provided at registration. These will be received within 72 hours of registration.

Description of the FDOT Advanced TTC Class (ITTC)

This course will provide the student with an understanding and ability to use the Florida Department of Transportation's current Design Standards and apply them in a variety of situations. The student will also receive a better understanding of the concepts and vocabulary necessary to work within the field.

The training described in this course applies to all personnel responsible for the planning, development, design, implementation, operation, enforcement and inspection of work zone related transportation management and temporary traffic control on streets and highways within the State Highway System right-of-way. This process does not apply to Law Enforcement Officers. However, there is no experience or prerequisite required for any category of training.

This course consists of instructor-led presentation, activites and a 50-question test. The successful student will be awarded a certificate & wallet card by the Florida Department of transportation and will be identified on the Florida Department of Transportation State of Florida's MOT Administrator Webpage.

This two-day FDOT IMOT certification course is required of all persons with duties that include the following activities:

Personnel responsible for supervising the installation, removal and field maintenance of TTC devices, excluding temporary barriers, end treatments and crash cushions.

Inspection of the placement or operational function of temporary traffic control devices, excluding temporary barriers, end treatments and crash cushions.


Target Audience

This course is required for all persons with duties that include any of the following activities:

Direct responsibility for placement of work zone traffic control devices; Direct responsibility for field maintenance of work zone traffic control devices; Inspection of the placement or operational function of work zone traffic control devices and/or Drafting or electronic generation of work zone traffic control plans.About this event

Tampa Bay Training is an approved provider for the Florida Department of Transportation's Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) certification courses. Tampa Bay Training are also approved to teach the one-day Refresher of both the Intermediate and Advanced Maintenance of Traffic certification classes.


Prerequisites & Requirements

There are no prerequisites to take this class.

A Driver's License and email address is required to attend the class and to take the test. Please have your driver's license with you at all time.

All students must have their own computer (sharing is not allowed) and the camera & microphone must be on at all times. The computer will need to have high-speed internet access to effectively use this format of education.

The computer will also need to have an internet explorer, adobe acrobat pdf reader and ability to access Zoom. The class is held on Zoom (zoom.us) and the test is held on Survey Monkey (surveymonkey.com).


Certificates and Wallet Cards

Certificates and Wallet Cards are valid for four (4) years from the ending date of the class session. No certificates or wallet cards will be available at the class session.

You will receive an email notifying your successful passing of the test, instructions how to use the motadmin.com website, your login and password, and ability to print your certificate and wallet card will be sent to the participants having successfully passed the exam.

Any participant not achieving a passing score of 70% or higher will receive a letter indicating such.
