Mark your calendars to celebrate the most auspicious of days eighteen years ago on a cold winter’s evening in Fishtown when four runners (Mike & Samantha Xander, Larry Kelsall & David April) left 2346 E. Susquehanna Ave on a run that ended at The Druid's Keep. In a moment of good cheer, they ordered several bottles of Chimay, and David wished all a Merry Christmas and offered a toast, “To The Professor!”. Thus began the Fishtown Beer Runners and a tradition of responsible running and drinking in the interest of science. In honor of this special occasion, we will return to Druid's Keep to celebrate.Make sure to bring your ID!

The Fishtown Beer Runners meet every Thursday at 7pm at three different starting locations throughout the city:
• Palmer Park in Fishtown
• City Hall at Courtyard at City Hall (meet at Octavius Catto statue on the south side if courtyard is closed)
• 7th & Bainbridge in South Philly
