One in three Australians, including some children, has fatty liver disease and may not even know it. Liver specialist at Fiona Stanley Hospital, Dr Koya Ayonrinde will be discussing what fatty liver is, how anyone can be susceptible to it, regardless of lifestyle, and how it is a major risk factor for heart disease, diabetes and liver cirrhosis.
From drinking alcohol to doing liver cleanses, Koya will be debunking all the common myths associated with fatty liver disease and letting you know how to effectively prevent or reverse it to live a long and healthy life.
Koya is a leading liver specialist (hepatologist) at Fiona Stanley Hospital who has completed a PhD on fatty liver disease. He is currently affiliated with the University of Western Australia, Curtin University and the Raine Study in Perth.
