FATHOM~of Women and Water

Join us for an evening reading of two new plays in progress exploring women's relationship to water, and how it shaped their lives. Part one of the FATHOM~of Women and Water performance theater project , holding the vision to honor and feature women artists in mid-career.
The original one-act plays, QUARRY RATS by Candyce L Rusk, set in a Wisconsin quarry in the 1970s, and EVELYN'S SALT by Tristan Y Mercado, set on a North Carolina coastline, engage memory and fragments of magical realism, written by daughters who reimagine their mother's experience with water...as a resource and an escape.
Directed by Ellie McBride, each play offers evocative and very different roles and arcs to five brillant actors, asked to bring forth the complexities inherent in each character they portray.
The Cast: Cyndi Williams, Sarah Fleming Walker, Shannon Grounds, Johanna Whitmore, Roxy Becker and Alex Alford as the narrator.
