The welcome celebrations continue and the FASS Peer Mentorship team is here to help! Join us in Arts Central (AQ 3020) at the SFU Burnaby campus for an evening of fun! We will have fun activities, video games, crafting stations, boardgames, pizza and lots of time to meet new folks. This is a great opportunity to get to know your mentor and the rest of the team, and get excited about the start of the school year! Can't wait to see you there!
Who can attend?
If you're a FASS Student! We have tickets available for folks who have signed up (as mentees) in our mentorship program and limited a few for non-mentees.
What if I can only attend some of the event?
That is okay. Please email us at [email protected] and we'll discuss and make it work!
Dress Code?
Casual! It'll likely be warm in Arts Central with all the bodies, but we'll have activities outside our office if you wanted some quieter space.
Where is Arts Central?
We are located at 3020 Academic Quadrangle (directions below), the north-west corner of the 3rd floor of the AQ, right across the hall from Images Theatre and Robert C Brown Hall.
Directions to AQ 3020
From Transportation Centre:
In order to get from SFU Transportation Centre @ Bay 2 to AQ3020, head southeast towards the Rotunda/Campus Security and cross Gaglardi Way via the crosswalk. Once across the street, keep heading south under the overhead walkway. There will be an elevator on the right hand (West) side of this crosswalk. Once inside the elevator, press number 3. Once on the third floor, head east (i.e. left) and exit the building (automatic doors). Continue heading east past the Bennett Library (on your left) and into the Academic Quadrangle. Once through the automated doors, proceed to the elevators ( past the glass panel) located on your right and press number 3. Once on the 3rd floor, exit the elevator, turn right, then right again to enter the main AQ hallway. Once in the hallway, turn left (proceed North). Proceed down the hallway, heading North towards Images Theatre (RCB building). At the end of the hallway, turn left, and AQ 3020 is located on your left, immediately by the automated doors.
From Bus Loop:
In order to get from the Bus Loop to AQ3020, proceed into Blusson Hall and head straight down the hallway into Saywell Hall. At the end of the hallway, by the stairs on your right, take the elevator down to the AQ 3000 level. Once in the elevator press M. Exit the elevator, turn right, and proceed past the Renaissance Café and the Education building, visible on your right, and continue towards the end of the AQ hallway. AQ 3020 is located past the Images Theatre (Robert C. Brown [RCB] building), at the very end of the hallway, on your left, immediately by the automated doors.
