About this Event
Join Angela Jaeger, author of I Feel Famous: Punk Diaries 1977-1981, for a personal coming-of-age story set to the pulse of punk rock. Jaeger's diaries touch on a variety of themes, including identity politics, downtown New York, anglophilia, fandom, fame, and fashion. Influenced by her clothing obsessions as a young girl and aspiring singer, the East Village boutiques and King’s Road shops of the 60’s and 70’s, along with the vibrant street fashion of young women, she will share her unique view of the punk genre and its relationship between the fashion, the music, the media, and the audience. Angela Jaeger is a singer, writer, and teacher. Books will be available for purchase. Punk Style is highly encouraged!
