About this Event
Join legendary fashion designers Stan Herman and Jeffrey Banks for a conversation detailing Herman’s epic career. In his memoir, Uncross Your Legs: A Life in Fashion, Herman reflects on his amazing journey in his life and in the world of fashion. After serving in the WWII Army Reserve, he was head of the Council of Fashion Designers of America for sixteen years and was instrumental in bringing New York Fashion Week to Bryant Park. Jeffrey Banks has earned some of fashion’s most prestigious awards and honors including the Cutty Sark Award for Outstanding U.S. Designer of Menswear, the Pratt Institute Award for Excellence, as well as a spot on the “International Best Dressed” list. Banks has co-authored many books including Tartan: Romancing the Plaid, Preppy: Cultivating Ivy Style, and Norell: Master of American Style.
Books will be available for purchase. Stan Herman Style is highly encouraged.
