Saturday, April 11 at 6:30 p.m. - Fascinating Ladies of Country - presented by Young at Heart Theatre. Tickets are $15, or in an effort to make the performance accessible, people can also pay what they wish. Tickets can be reserved in advance or purchased through e-transfer to [email protected], drop into the hall, or pay at the door. It is helpful if you reserve your seat in advance.
It is a celebratory musical revue, featuring music from some of the most iconic and influential female country artists of the last century to present-day. Presented by the Young at Heart Theatre. The show also highlights the women’s liberation movement and the way these artists expressed themselves to help empower women around the world.
Some of the songs featured include 9 to 5, Delta Dawn, Fancy, Any Man of Mine and Miss Chatelaine. The show is written, compiled and directed by Catherine O’Brien with musical direction and arrangements by Brielle Ansems. The cast features talented PEI artists Olivia Blacquiere, Stephanie Ross and Haley Zavo.
P.S. Sunset is about 7:55 p.m., and the show is about an hour long.
