FARMYARD ULTRA β FREE STATE, SOUTH AFRICA πΏπ¦We are proud to host this unique endurance challenge in the Free State!
The Farmyard Ultra is a last-person-standing trail run and MTB event where athletes must complete:
π 6.704km Trail Run
π΄ 13.4km MTB
Every loop must be completed within one hour.
When you finish a lap, the remaining time in that hour becomes your recovery time β before lining up again for the next start.
This continues⦠until only ONE remains.
OFFICIAL RULES
1οΈβ£ Course
β’ Trail Run: 6.705km
β’ MTB: 13.4km
2οΈβ£ Starting Corral
β’ Measured to fit the entire starting field
β’ Remains the same size throughout the event
β’ All participants must be inside the corral at the bell
3οΈβ£ Starts
β’ Each loop starts exactly 1 hour after the previous start
β’ Warnings at 3, 2, and 1 minute before the bell
β’ All competitors must start at the bell (no late starts allowed)
4οΈβ£ During the Loop
β’ Competitors may not leave the course (except for restrooms) until the loop is complete
β’ No non-competitors allowed on course
(Fun Run/Ride participants may complete 2 consecutive laps)
β’ No personal aid during a loop (common aid stations allowed)
β’ Every lap β including the final one β must be completed within the hour
β’ No artificial aids
β’ Slower athletes must allow faster competitors to pass
5οΈβ£ Timing
This event is not about lap times β itβs about survival.
The objective is simple: Find the Last Person Standing.
6οΈβ£ Winner & Results
β’ The winner is the last athlete to complete a SOLO loop
β’ All others are recorded as DNF
β’ Distances completed by each athlete will be published
β’ If no athlete completes one more loop than the rest, there is no winner
To be crowned champion, the final athlete must complete one final solo lap.
7οΈβ£ Race Cap
This is an open-ended event.
The race only ends when there is ONE person standing β
Man or woman. Runner or rider.

β’ Gear suited to your chosen discipline β Trail Running or MTB

β’ A second pair of shoes is recommended so you can rotate between laps
