The Farmers Santa Parade IS BACK for 2023! Dazzling floats, inflatables, celebrities, musicians, entertainment groups and Santa himself will join in for our 90th year running.
After the Parade, join us for Santa's Party in Aotea Square, where we'll have an afternoon of entertainment for the whole family, including an amazing line-up of live stage entertainment, food vendors, rides, and activations.
Pre-Parade: 12pm –1pm
Parade: 1pm –2:30pm
Santa’s Party, Aotea Square: 2:30pm –5:00pm

~ PARADE PLANNING INFORMATION ~
Parade Route
The Parade Route is 1.6km long and takes approximately 1 hour to pass any given point.
Top Tip: The best (unknown) viewing spots are Mayoral Drive between Cook Street and Queen Street and Customs Street East. There is usually ample space to even lay down a picnic blanket and then wander either to Santa’s Party or the transport hub afterward!
Road Closure
All inner city roads are closed between 11:00am and 5pm on Sunday 26 November 2023. People are advised to get into the city before 11:00am.
Free Parking
Parking will be FREE on Parade Day for vehicles parked before 11am and exited between 2pm-6pm at the Auckland Transport Downtown and Victoria Street Car Parks. Please note that exiting before 2pm and after 6pm will incur a fee.

Weather Postponement Date
Should there be adverse weather, a postponement decision will be announced by 9am, Sunday 26 November on the Parade website and social media pages. If postponed, the Parade will take place on Sunday 3rd December 2023.
Blue ‘Honour’ Line
A blue safety line will be painted along the Parade route. The Police ask that all Parade spectators stay behind the line while watching the Parade!
