The Stephens City Farmers Market is back, and we are so excited to welcome everyone to a brand new season! This marks our second official year as the Stephens City Farmers Market, and we are kicking things off with something truly special. 🌳🎉We’ve partnered with the Town of Stephens City to host a community-wide Arbor Day and Earth Day Celebration alongside our Grand Opening Day on Saturday, April 25th from 10am to 3pm at Newtown Commons. This special event will be a full day dedicated to celebrating our planet, local agriculture, and the incredible community that makes Stephens City such a wonderful place to call home.
A ceremonial tree planting will take place at Newtown Commons, beginning what we hope will become a cherished annual Arbor Day tradition. Throughout the day, you’ll find farmers market vendors, earth-focused activities, and opportunities to connect, learn, and celebrate together. 🌱
The festivities will extend throughout town as well! The Stephens City United Methodist Church will be hosting a Flower & Garden Festival with vendors, music, activities, and more in their back parking lot on Germain Street. Newtown Mercantile and other local businesses will also be joining in the celebration, with additional details to be announced soon!
→ Please note: this special Grand Opening event will run from 10am to 3pm. Beginning the following week, the Stephens City Farmers Market will return to its regular weekly hours of Saturdays from 9am to 1pm, running until the end of September.
