About this Event
Farmer is a drama about animal abuse and conscience.
A Farmer and his wife look after their grandson on a farm near a remote Northern village, close to GLOSSOP, in the HIGH PEAK, DERBYSHIRE in the UK. The farmer's daughter (the lad's mother) returns to the family after many years of living in Italy. She is an animal activist who had abandoned her son to her family’s care. She discovers that her father is now abusive towards his livestock. Will her visit stop this cruelty for good and protect the animals? Can she right this- stop it, or does she aggravate and force deeper rifts in this increasingly dysfunctional and frightened family? How does cruelty to animals impact on their consciences and the already fractured relationships between them?
