Imagine a place where animals who were once destined for short, painful lives in the commercial food industry are instead given the chance to live freely, peacefully, and without fear. That place is Farm Animal Rescue 🐷💚Join the UQ Vegan Society for a special visit to Farm Animal Rescue and a beautiful sanctuary where rescued animals get a second chance at life.
We’ll meet at the sanctuary at 10am for a guided tour, where you’ll learn about the animals’ stories, the work the sanctuary does, and get the chance to meet some truly wonderful residents.
🥪 Midway through the tour, we’ll provide lunch (Subway and some sweet treats!) so everyone can relax, refuel, and enjoy the sanctuary atmosphere together.
After the visit, anyone who’s keen can still join us at The Green Edge for a relaxed self-funded vegan meal and the perfect way to wrap up the day and chat about the experience. 🌱
🚗 Carpooling will be available for those who need a lift or want to minimise their environmental footprint. If you’re able to offer seats in your car, please let us know when purchasing your ticket.
🎟 Ticket price covers the group entry fee, lunch (subway) and with any extra funds donated directly to the sanctuary to support their amazing work. Additional donations on the day are always appreciated!
If you’d like to bring something along, Farm Animal Rescue happily accepts donations of:

They also welcome shelf-stable vegan food for staff, and you’ll have the opportunity to purchase sanctuary merchandise at the end of the visit.
