Farley Music Festival in The Close is now in its second season, after a very successful launch last year. Whereas the summer Farley Music Festival in All Saints' Church showcases established musicians, the concerts in The Close are for up and coming students from the Royal Academy of Music in London. There are three piano concerts taking place over the course of a day, at 11:30, 14:30 and 18:00. Tickets are available via the ticket button here, or via the website www.farleymusic.co.uk. Each concert is priced at £10, but students have free entry and do not need to book in advance.
The 11:30 programme will now be played by Malaysian pianist Bridget Yee, a winner of the Windsor and Beecham International Piano Competitions. In 2020, she triumphed at the Putra International Piano Competition and was a finalist in the BBC Young Musician Keyboard Category. Bridget is studying at the Royal Academy of Music, and is an artist of The Keyboard Trust and Talent Unlimited Foundation.
Bridget will be playing Beethoven – Sonata in E-flat major,
Cécile Chaminade Six Romances sans paroles, Op.76 and
Liszt – Après une lecture de Dante.
The 14:30 programme will be performed by Sadra Mahshidfar. Sadra is an Iranian pianist, who started playing at the age of 6 and studied at Tehran University of Art, before his current tenure at the Royal Academy of Music. He will be playing Messiaen – Preludes No. 1 – La colombe and No. 6 – Cloches d'angoisses et larmes d'adieu and Handel – Keyboard Suite in F Major, HWV 427.

Following her solo debut at the Liszt Institute in Paris, some of her recent performances include appearances at St James’s Church Piccadilly, the University Church of St Mary in Oxford, St Cuthbert’s Church, and a performance of the Schumann Piano Concerto in A minor at the distinguished Romanian Athenaeum.
