It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to a longtime friend of the Museum System, Zilla, our common snapping turtle. We will remember him in a memorial service and celebration of life at the Museum of Nature & Science where he once lived with our "Farewell to Zilla" program on Saturday, May 23, from 2:30pm to 4:30pm. Our dedicated staff took all possible actions through expert interventions, but according to the post-mortem necropsy Zilla had cancer. After over thirty years with us, Zilla passed in his sleep. All are invited to join us.
This program is free for all ages.
