Get ready for a flavour-packed walk through one of Joburgās most vibrant neighbourhoods!
We kick things off at Shalimar Delights, one of the biggest hubs for traditional Indian sweet meats (think delicious fudge-like treats!).
From there, we wander through the colourful streets of Fordsburg, soaking up culture and history.
āØ First stop: Lilian Road Studios to admire an incredible mosaic by artist Hannelie Coetzee.
š» Then itās off to Archieās, a quirky dive bar known for cold beers and iconic polony sandwiches.
Fordsburg is Joziās food capital, and along the way we unpack how food merchants helped shape life on the Witwatersrand.
We stroll past the legendary Oriental Plaza ā but do you know its connection to forced removals? You will after the tour!
Next, we visit Hamidia Masjid, one of Joburgās oldest mosques with a powerful link to Gandhiās passive resistance movement.
And thenā¦ the FEAST begins. š
