Step into the elegance of the 18th and 19th centuries for a hands-on, delightfully creative experience. This intimate workshop—limited to just 8 adults (16+)—offers the chance to embellish your very own custom-printed folding fan, inspired by extant historical designs. Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or someone who insists they don’t have an artistic bone in their body, you’ll feel right at home as we guide you through the process of transforming a beautiful printed base into a finished piece that looks remarkably close to authentic period fans.
We’ll pause midway for a relaxed lunch break. All materials needed to complete one standard printed fan will be provided.
If you enjoy the finer details, please bring along your own sewing kit to help finish your design. However, if you aren't a sewist, don't worry—we will have plenty of no-sew options available so you can still walk away with a stunning finished piece. Additional fan designs will also be available for purchase if you find yourself wanting more than one.
Perfect for the upcoming Jewels Ball, early 19th-century reenactments, or simply as a stunning accessory to carry in your purse, your finished fan is sure to be a true statement piece.
