The introductory class allows students to learn how to throw on a potter's wheel and hand build (i.e. add a handle if you made a mug, a lid if you made a jar). You'll make a cup, vase or bowl on the wheel and then add accents to your piece.

Throughout the class, participants receive individual attention and guidance from the instructor, who offers tips and suggestions to improve their technique and troubleshoot any challenges they encounter. The hands-on nature of the class allows students to learn through trial and error, gradually refining their skills as they gain experience.

At the end of the class, participants have the opportunity to keep their finished pottery pieces. Some classes may also offer the option of firing and glazing the completed pieces, allowing participants to have fully finished ceramics to take home and enjoy.
