Join us to learn some new skills and learn how to use a map and compass to orienteer around Pooley Country Park. Each group will be given a small briefing at the beginning of the session, followed by a practice exercise.Each group will then be given a map and must use them to navigate around our orienteering course (designed by Octavian droobers), trying to find each location and make it back to the start point without getting lost!. This activity will require all members to focus and contribute to discover their target. This is a family event and all children must be accompanied by an adult (18+). Younger children may struggle with the distances for this event however a pushchair/wheelchair accessible route is available so if you require this then please make your ranger aware before you set off. Two of these sessions will be running simulatneously so please turn up on time to the session you have booked for your briefing and practice exercise.
