About this Event

Bring the kids to the Medway Valley Heritage Forest for a nature walk and a chance to explore the Museum of Ontario Archaeology!

The event will begin with a hike in the Medway Valley Heritage Forest to learn about the different plants and animals of spring. We will also introduce you to the iNaturalist community science app where you can upload photos of your plant, animal and fungi observations from the walk as part of the City Nature Challenge!
Please download iNaturalist and create your free account in advance. If you would like help getting started with iNaturalist then arrive 15 minutes early and an iNaturalist Ambassador will be there to teach you how to make observations.

After the hike, participants are invited to take a short tour of the Lawson Site, a 16th-century Attawandaron People's village.

We will meet at the parking lot of the Museum of Ontario Archaeology, 1600 Attawandaron Rd. London Ontario, N6G 3M6.

Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. This hike will be on uneven terrain and is not wheelchair or stroller accessible.

All ages are welcome!
