Family Movie Night is Back - April 28!! Your Christian Education committee is sponsoring a second family movie night in April. We will be watching Miracle at Midnight. The movie is set during Germany’s occupation of Denmark during World War II. It dramatizes the true story of the 1943 rescue of the Danish Jews. To go along with the theme of the evening our snacks will include Danish kringle and licorice…and yes there will still be popcorn!Another addition is that we have secured borrowing 18 copies of Lois Lowry’s book Number the Stars which is a historical fiction children’s book that is about the escape of a family of Jews from Denmark during WWII. The book and the movie are not the same, but they are excellent companion pieces, and we recommend reading the book before we watch the movie if you are so inclined. Young and mature will enjoy the story! The books are on the table in Fellowship Hall, we just ask that you sign out how many copies of have borrowed, they do need to be returned when we are finished.
We look forward to an inspiring evening followed by some excellent dialogue, please join us!
