Learn how to uncover your family stories at the Tennessee State Library & Archives’ Family History Day on Saturday, Oct. 19, starting at 9:30 a.m. CT, with expert research assistance available all day.
The Family History Day featured presentation is “A Tennessee Tapestry: Your Guide to the County-Specific Family History Resources,” led by genealogist and information science professional Taneya Koonce. The Tennessee State Library & Archives offers a myriad of resources that can help you as you research your family history roots. In this presentation, attendees will learn how to most effectively use the Reading Room collection resources to add to the branches of your family tree.
Taneya Koonce is an active blogger and participant in the genealogy and family history field. Conducting genealogy and family history research has been her passion since 2005. She has an avid interest in technology, historical newspaper research, digital photo and file organization, technology, and genetic genealogy.
Family History Day is hosted by the Tennessee State Library & Archives and the Friends of the Tennessee State Library & Archives. Following the presentation, Library & Archives staff and volunteers from the Friends of the Tennessee State Library & Archives are available to assist visitors with researching their own family history.
