Come enjoy a screening of the family movie IF, to help fundraise for Hamish to receive oral immunotherapy treatment in the US. Hamish has anaphylaxis to dairy and was diagnosed at 6 months of age. In the last 7 years he has had around 10 episodes of anaphylaxis due to accidental exposure to dairy. Anaphylaxis is terrifying, life threatening and dictates Hamish's life on a daily basis. He is surrounded by something that can K*ll him every single day of his life. He is now 7 and old to enough to understand and fear the consequences of anaphylaxis.We are going to the US in August for immunotherapy treatment with the hope that he will build up enough tolerance to dairy that should he accidentally ingest it, he won't have an anaphylaxis and therefore will be "safe". This is a life long commitment for us all but the pros far outweigh the cons. We just want Hamish to lead a long, safe and "normal" life like any other person.
