Join us for summertime fun at theNate for the whole family! Although the walk/tour will be educational and informative, the kids can run wild and make noise without anyone shushing them - and once some energy is burned off, we'll have an engaging hands-on project for them, and you, to make-and-take.
Meet at the F Entrance to GovState, located on the East Side of campus, near the GIANT yellow sculpture (Illinois Landscape, No. 5 by John Henry, AKA French Fries)
Parking is free, Lot East 3 is closest to the F Entrance.
Restrooms available inside at F Entrance.
Wear shoes for walking on grass paths, dress in layers for the weather, bring other comfort items such as bug spray, water bottles, etc. The typical length of a tour is about a mile to a mile and a half - we customize depending on the group, weather, and ground conditions.
PRO TIP: come early and bring a picnic dinner to sit at Dan Peterman's "Running Table" - the 100 foot long picnic table sculpture made of recycled plastics. (Located next to "French Fries" and near F Entrance meeting location).
