Join us for an afternoon of hands-on fun for all ages as we celebrate our newest exhibit, Cedar: The Tree of Life!
If you live in Southeast Alaska, you already have a relationship with cedar, from the homes we build and the baskets we weave to the totem poles that have stood for generations. This exhibit invites you to explore the cultural, ecological, and artistic importance of red and yellow cedar, and maybe even discover your own connections along the way.
🌿 Create cedar-inspired crafts
🌿 Get hands-on with activities about trees and the natural world
🌿 Learn to identify red and yellow cedar with Barb Morgan from UAS
Whether your kids are bringing you, you’re coming with friends, or just curious to learn something new, we’d love to see you there.
Come by anytime between 1pm and 3pm, drop in for a little or stay the whole afternoon!
