April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. Child abuse and neglect can be prevented, and understanding the factors that increase risk—as well as those that protect children and families—is essential. When children grow up in safe, stable, and nurturing environments, the entire community benefits. Each of us has a role to play in promoting the well‑being of children and supporting healthy families.To raise awareness and help families feel more comfortable with the individuals who work every day to protect children in Franklin County, FCDSS will be hosting a Family Fun Day. This event will feature local vendors, free carnival games, face painting, a variety of food options, a bounce house, and more.
