Title: Jean-Michel Basquait: The Life of An Artist Who Dream of Being a Famous
Description: We will be exploring works by Jean-Michel Basquait. An educator will be giving a storytime book about the famous artist, Jean Michel Basquait. Later, we will be creating fun, hands-on Basquait's art style, using available cardboards, painting supplies, stampings, etc etc.
This workshop is perfect for kids, youth, and adults who like to do art. Bring your one or two sheets of self-portrait images to be use during the workshop. Come join the art world of Jean-Michel Basquait and how he really uses materials.
Workshop offered in ASL with English voice interpretation.
About Orkid Sassouni: Orkid(eh) Sassouni is a visual artist, with multi-insectional backgrounds. She is of Persian/Iranian Jewish, Deaf American woman. She is based in San Francisco. Ms. Sassouni studied studio photography at the Parsons School of Design (now it's name changed under The New School), in New York City.
