This week, the family film passport takes us over to Japan where we meet Kun and his new baby sister Mirai. To start off the event at 2pm, we’ll be having a live demonstration of calligraphy from Alex Mak, Calligrapher and CEO of Trafford HongKongers. We will supply materials for you to follow along during the demonstration. Alex will also be available during the screening for smaller groups to learn more about the art of calligraphy and to try it out.
About Family Film Passport: Join us for 4 weeks of family friendly international cinema in the heart of Stretford, weekly on Wednesday afternoons in August.
Travel the world through film this summer. Join us at Stretford Public Hall for a magical series of family-friendly international films, each paired with workshops and crafting activities delivered by our community partners and inspired by the culture or themes on screen.
Book your tickets for each screening at just £3.50, pick up your passport from us, collect a stamp at every screening, and enjoy a relaxed, welcoming cinema experience designed for families with children aged 3–11.
This Project is supported by Film Hub North with National Lottery Funding on behalf of BFI Film Audience Network
