❄️ Family Event: Winter Tracking
🐾 Join Madison and Maya as we explore the trails at Mission Marsh, and learn about which animals call it home - all from the tracks and signs they leave behind! We will learn about how to notice tracks, who may have made them, what they could mean, and what story we can create when we allow our curiosity to guide us!
🌲The Mission Marsh conservation area is an important habitat for a range of species. We expect to learn about birds, beavers, fox, grouse, coyotes, and likely more! We will walk the trails at the Mission Marsh, but will veer off the trails where appropriate to further explore tracks- we will not stray very far. Total walking distance will likely be around 1.5 km. We will also play some games to help us learn about tracking and to stay warm.
