In Eggplant, Claron McFadden explores the cultural roots shared through the culinary properties of eggplant. This vegetable has undergone a huge migration, but has been able to establish itself everywhere. Lisa Tahon and McFadden follow the journey in the opposite direction: from the West to the Far East via the Mediterranean countries. With the inhabitants, they discover each time a dish and a song. McFadden thus adds a new chapter to the migratory tradition, in the company of musicians from many "Solanacea cultures": Roma, Belgians, Iraqis, Greeks and Afro-Anatolians. In Aubergine, you'll enjoy rich eggplant cuisine combined with live music and a travel documentary about what connects people and how cross-pollination enriches our identity.https://www.bozar.be/en/calendar/family-day-aubergine-claron-mcfadden
