About this Event
Visit the University of Michigan Museum of Art for a fun afternoon of indoor activities. Drop in between 3:30-5:00pm to connect with other families as you explore sculptures and build your own creations. UMMA volunteers will facilitate conversations about the art and guide you through the space.
Note: A photographer will be present. Please indicate during registration if you choose to not be photographed.
MUSEUM GUIDELINES and OFFERINGS
- To protect the art, please keep food and drink in the cafe area and not in the galleries
- Nursing and diaper changing areas available
- Strollers welcome
- All galleries are accessible by elevator
- Sensory kits available: including headphones, timers, fidgets
- It’s natural to want to learn about art by touching it, but please keep hands in pockets or holding a favorite toy

TRANSPORTATION
By U-M Bus: Michigan buses run from Northwood Housing to the Central Campus Transportation Center (on North University). From the CCTC, walk through the Diag and enter the Museum via the Cafe entrance near Hatcher Graduate Library. The U-M Commuter South route stops on State Street in front of the Museum.
By Car: Metered parking is available on surrounding streets. The U-M Thompson lot is available on weekends. Public parking ramps are located a few blocks away. More parking information here.
