This one-day Family Constellations workshop offers a profound space to explore hidden patterns, emotional entanglements, and inherited traumas within your family and ancestral system.

Whether you join to explore your own issue or participate as a representative, this workshop creates powerful shifts and insights. No previous experience is required – just an open heart and a willingness to look beneath the surface.

Family Constellations is a unique and experiential method that reveals the invisible dynamics and burdens passed on through generations. Developed by Bert Hellinger, it works with the “family field” – a systemic memory that often holds unresolved pain, loss, or exclusion.

Unconsciously, we may carry the fate, grief, or guilt of those who came before us – often out of love or loyalty. These inherited burdens can impact our present-day relationships, health, sense of belonging, and success.

This method allows us to look into the past without being stuck in it – and to release inherited pain with compassion and respect.

Every country carries its own historical wounds – and Ireland is no exception. In constellation work, we recognise that collective traumas – such as the Great Famine or the long period of British occupation – continue to echo through generations.

These are more than history lessons. They are emotional imprints carried unconsciously:

• The famine may still show up today as irrational fear of lack, food issues, or difficulty receiving abundance.
• The dynamic of oppressor and victim shaped by colonial history can affect identity, self-worth, trust, and authority – both individually and collectively.

These are not about blame or shame – but about acknowledgment. Constellations allow us to see the system as it is, honour the pain of the past, and take our rightful place in the present.

At the core of this work is the relationship with our parents and ancestors. If we carry unspoken resentment, distance, or emotional wounds toward them, it may block us from receiving the full strength of life, love, and support that is available to us.

When we reconnect with our roots – with clarity and respect – we often experience:

• a deep sense of relief,
• unexpected emotional release,
• and a feeling of lightness and inner peace.

Many participants describe a strong sense of grace, as if something heavy has finally been set down.

The process takes place in a group setting. At any moment, one person steps forward as the client to explore a personal issue – whether it’s a challenge in relationships, health, career, or inner conflict.

The facilitator then invites others from the group to stand in as representatives – for family members, emotions, or abstract elements (like illness, fear, or money).

These representatives begin to feel sensations, impulses, and emotions – as if tuning into the wider “family field.” Through their positions, movements, and interactions, hidden dynamics come to light, often with surprising clarity and truth.

The constellation is then gently guided to restore balance, bring acknowledgment where it’s needed, and allow a deeper truth to emerge.

There are two ways to take part in the workshop, and both offer valuable experiences:

• You will bring a personal issue you'd like to explore.
• The facilitator will guide a constellation specifically for you.
• You will watch the dynamic unfold and engage directly with the healing process.
• This is a deeply personal and often life-changing experience.

• You take part in the group and may be asked to stand in as a representative.
• Many people report profound insights and emotional shifts just by representing.
• This is also a beautiful way to experience the work if you're new to it or not ready to bring your own issue yet..
