About this Event
We never truly heal alone
Whether we have concerns about love, money, pain from our family history, or persistent disorders in our life, the answer always involves some kind of relating to find wholeness.
In this workshop, through ceremony, teaching, and the somatic group process of family constellations, we will explore what we cannot see with our ordinary problem-solving and find ways foward in our most stuck problems.
What exactly are constellations and how do they work?
Family and systemic constellations are very powerful tools, first developed by the German psychotherapist Bert Hellinger, to bring healing through re-establishing equilibrium and a 'flow of love' within families and between individuals and their ancestors. It can also be used to improve function and relating in businesses and other institutions or groups. You do not need your family, partner, or other relations present for this process.
Come with your most pressing worries to look at them in a way you have never been able to before. The healing group formations of a family constellation, through representation, allow you to see hidden dynamics in your family system that may be causing blockages in your life, in relationships, and other issues. All types of relationship and love issues, involving people of any gender identity and sexuality, are welcome.
Our group will take different aspects of your concern, your partner, or your family and ancestral line, and represent key elements that affect you. As the healing movements of the constellation begin, each participant will begin to express a part of the dynamic until you see an amazing holographic living human map of your challenge. From there, many potential solutions become more real to the heart of the one seeking a constellation.
Event Experiences
- First, we begin by connecting with the beautiful and wide field of ancestors which includes our family trees intuitively (no knowledge of family history is requred) and the land itself, which is our most primal ancestor. In this way, we begin healing and looking at our challenges from a place of being resourced, not alone.
- Second, we work in small groups to experience what it is like to represent a loved one or ancestor for another person, standing in the place of someone that they know, feeling some of what the relationship was like and relaying that to the other person in our group who has us to do the representation.
- Finally, we will experience group constellations, in which the issue affecting one person in the group will be held by the entire group, through representation by the attendees, who may hold the place of a parent, grandparent or ancestor.
- In closing, we will also ceremonially experience what it means not only to receive blessings from the ancestors and earth, but giving back from the heart.
Who is the Facilitator?
Dr. Sparks is a student, both of the planet's healing traditions, and of the emerging modalities for the repair of the soul. He serves to heal broken relationships and restore the flow of love. He is a mediator trained by the state of Arizona, and has been in the field of family and systemic constellations for more than ten years.
He is a scholar-healer who holds a doctorate from the Institute of Ritual and Liturgical Studies, formerly housed at Tilburg University, in the Netherlands, and has a Masters in the Study of Religions from the School of Oriental and African Studies, at the University of London.
