EVENT DETAILS
Stay at Wind Wolves Preserve's San Emigdio Campground on a special Family Night! All ages and experience levels welcome! This program is funded by the Outdoor Equity Grants Program, created through AB 209 and administered by California State Parks, Office of Grants and Local Services.
Saturday, April 25th
5:00 pm - 6:30 pm | Check In and Camp Set Up (at San Emigdio Campground)
7:00 pm | Preserve closes (entrance gates are locked - no late admittance)
7:15 pm | Welcome and Orientation
7:30 pm - 8:30 pm | Guided Hike (Mesquite Grove Trail)
Sunday, April 26th
9:00 am - 10:00 am | Reptile Presentation
10:00 am - 11:00 am | Clean Up and Check Out
Event is subject to cancellation due to unsafe weather conditions.
Need to borrow camping gear? Wind Wolves Preserve will be checking out tents (up to 2 per family), sleeping bags, and lanterns (1 per family).
RESERVATIONS
Space is limited - reservations are required! Each family can book ONE campsite (each site accommodates up to 6 people). Participants are expected to stay for the duration of the event. All donations go directly to The Wildlands Conservancy and help support free public access, youth education, interpretative programs, and habitat restoration projects! ABOUT US
Wind Wolves Preserve is a 93,000-acre nature preserve located approximately 30 minutes south of Bakersfield. We are open to the public daily. Visitors can enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and camping - or attend a staff led program, all free of charge. Wind Wolves Preserve is owned and operated by The Wildlands Conservancy, a private, non-profit organization that oversees 24 preserves in the western United States. Our mission is "To preserve the beauty and biodiversity of the earth and to provide programs so that children may know the wonder and joy of nature."
