🎶 Palmetto Chamber Orchestra is back this spring—and it’s a family affair! 🎶Get ready to be swept off your feet by the Romantic brilliance of siblings Fanny and Felix Mendelssohn in FAMILY AFFAIR: FANNY AND FELIX, happening on March 1, 2026, at 4:00 PM.
This enchanting performance will showcase Fanny’s Overture in C Major, the only instrumental work she composed, and juxtapose it with Felix’s "Scottish Symphony," a perfect example of his Romantic genius. These works from the Mendelssohn siblings will offer a captivating glimpse into their shared legacy.
But that’s not all—prepare to be dazzled by Mak Grgić, USC School of Music faculty member and five-time Grammy nominee, as he takes the stage with jaw-dropping artistry. He’ll perform excerpts from the "Balkan Suite" (First/Tadić) and "From Yesterday to Penny Lane" by Lennon–McCartney, arranged by Brouwer, blending classical guitar with Balkan flair and even The Beatles! 🎸🎻
