About this Event

Families Set Free: Confronting Modern Slavery at Scale

You are warmly invited to an evening reception hosted by Baroness Gohir, highlighting the urgent and often unseen reality of modern-day slavery in Pakistan.
During the evening, you will hear about the work of Families Set Free (www.FamiliesSetFree.org), an NGO committed to rescuing and restoring the more than one million people currently trapped in bonded labor in Pakistan’s brick kilns. We will also introduce a bold and practical initiative to modernize the brick-making industry—opening a pathway for immediate relief and long-term, systemic freedom.
Our shared vision is to help complete the work that William Wilberforce began: ending slavery in all its forms through innovation, investment, and meaningful collaboration.
We hope you will join us.
